PVC Moulding

Measure and Cut: Measure the length of the wall where you'll be installing the PVC moulding. Use a miter saw or hand saw to cut the moulding to the appropriate length. For corners or angles, use a miter saw to cut the moulding at a 45-degree angle for a clean fit.

Prepare the Surface: Ensure that the surface where you'll be installing the PVC moulding is clean, dry, and free of dust and debris. This will help the adhesive bond better.

Apply Adhesive: Apply a generous amount of construction adhesive to the back of the PVC moulding. Be sure to apply the adhesive evenly along the entire length of the moulding.

Position the Moulding: Carefully position the PVC moulding onto the wall, pressing firmly to ensure good contact with the adhesive. Use a level to ensure that the moulding is straight and level.

Secure the Moulding: Once the moulding is in the desired position, secure it in place using finishing nails or screws.  Drive the nails or screws through the moulding and into the wall studs for a secure hold. Be sure to countersink the nails or screws slightly below the surface of the moulding.

Fill Gaps and Caulk Seams: Use caulk to fill any gaps between the moulding and the wall, as well as any seams between pieces of moulding. Smooth the caulk with a damp finger or a caulk finishing tool for a clean finish.

Finishing Touches: Once the adhesive and caulk have dried, sand any rough edges or excess caulk to create a smooth surface. You can also paint the PVC moulding to match your existing trim or decor, if desired.

Clean Up: Clean up any excess adhesive, caulk, or debris from the installation area to complete the installation process.
