pvc trim

PVC trim (Polyvinyl Chloride trim) ,also named by upvc trim boards, vinyl trim board.

It is made from cellular pvc sheet, a durable and lightweight plastic polymer known for its versatility and resistance to rot, moisture, insects, and weathering. It comes in various shapes, sizes, and finishes, making it suitable for a wide range of interior and exterior trim applications, including window and door casings, fascia boards, corner boards, baseboards, and decorative moldings.

Measure and Cut: Measure the area where you'll install the trim and cut the PVC pieces to fit using a saw suitable for PVC.

Ensure accurate measurements to achieve a precise fit.

Prepare the Surface: Before installation, ensure the surface where the trim will be attached is clean, dry, and free from any debris or dust.  This promotes better adhesion and a smoother finish.

Adhere Trim (Optional): Depending on the type of PVC trim and the surface you're mounting it on, you may use adhesive to secure the trim in place.  Apply the adhesive according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually in small, even beads along the back of the trim.

Secure with Fasteners: If necessary or preferred, you can also secure the PVC trim with fasteners such as nails or screws.

Ensure the fasteners penetrate studs or other solid structures for proper anchoring.
